Bug Hunt
We are learning about bugs. This week we are going to be looking at bugs up close with a microscope. Can you please help your child to go on a bug hunt around your house and see what bugs they can find? If possible, put the bug in a container and send them along to school for us to have a closer look at. Oh I wonder what bugs we will find?

The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Room 7 has two swan plants. The caterpillars are very hungry and have eaten a lot of the leaves. Today, a big fat caterpillar started to curl up into a crysallis. After school look what has happened! I wonder how long it will take for the butterfly to come out.

Tennis
Today we had our first tennis session. It was lots and lots of fun. We had to balance the tennis ball on our racquet and try and bounce the ball. We learnt how to hold a tennis racquet and how to do forehand. Tennis is quite tricky. We need to keep persevering and remember to keep our eyes on the ball. We can't wait for next weeks session.

Room 7 Helps Out.
Wow! Yesterday Halcombe School got some bright red and yellow library shelves. They were for the junior picture books to go in. Room 7 had a big job. We had to move all the books from the old crates into the new shelves. We all worked together to put the books in the shelves. We had to make sure we put the books in carefully and up the right way. Don't they look fantastic?
Thank you Mrs Simpson for the new shelves.

Mmmm is for marvellous meal
Today Room 7 made some sandwiches. We put in butter, lettuce, cucumber and marmite. We got the lettuce from our garden. The lettuce was crunchy and delicious. We all tried the lettuce and cucumber, but some of us didn't like it. We have lots more lettuce in our garden. I wonder what else we could make with them?
